SEP Circle
at Stanford

Reconnect. Unlock. Evolve.

The annual gathering of SEP alumni, always on the eve of the GSB reunion. One full day to understand what is changing in the world, trade the knowledge and contacts that unlock each person's business, and sit with people worth sitting with — closing over dinner.

Three dimensions

People, business, world — in that order.

The motto's three words map to the three things the day is built around. Every block belongs to one of them, and they are interleaved so no one tires.

Reconnect

People

Matched one-on-ones, curated tables, wine at the close, and dinner to finish. The connection is the point, not the byproduct.

Unlock

Business

Masterminds in circles of six to eight, working one member's real challenge at a time. Then the asks and offers, matched in advance.

Evolve

World

A fireside chat with a guest worth flying for, followed immediately by the only question that matters: what does this mean for what I'm building?

The shape

One day, then the reunion.

Thu 1 Oct · 9:00–18:00

The core

Matched one-on-ones, masterminds in circles of six to eight, the asks and offers exchange, a fireside chat, and four lightning talks from the room itself. Closes with wine in the late afternoon.

Dinner

A different venue, seating mixed on purpose. The social capstone of the day, and the last easy evening before the reunion.

GSB reunion

The official program begins on campus. Our gathering wraps the day before — everyone flows in together on Friday morning.

On campus
How it works

Everyone arrives with an ask and an offer.

Most reunions leave the useful conversations to chance. This one doesn't. Registration doubles as the matching engine — a short profile, under three minutes and mostly taps, that decides who meets whom, who sits where, and what goes on the asks and offers board.

No one goes invisible

Every ask gets at least one respondent. Every participant receives three to five suggested connections before arriving.

Less stage, more table

At most a third of the time is spent listening to one person. The rest is people talking to each other.

Two ways to match

The profile has a business half — sector, function, asks and offers — and a human half. Business pairs on one, tables and 1:1s on the other.

SEP only

Participants are exclusively SEP alumni. Outside names come in as speakers, and only as speakers.

Hold the dates.

Registration opens shortly, and the profile takes under three minutes. For now, tell us you're planning to come — it helps us size the room and start the matching.
